A Makeup Break For Your Skin

Many women see makeup as essential to looking beautiful, but maintaining that beauty comes from something equally important – removing the makeup. Makeup remover comes in many forms, from wipes to liquid to oil-based cleansers. There are a lot of products out there to choose from, but look out for these three qualities to find the perfect makeup remover for you.

A good makeup remover must…

  • Fully remove eye makeup: Eye makeup is very important to many women, but it is even more important to fully remove eye makeup to give your skin time to rest. The hardest type of makeup to remove is mascara, and your makeup remover should be able to fully remove it to prevent wrinkles from forming around your eyes.
  • Be gentle on the skin: Wipes are easy to use, especially when you’re in a lazy mood but most wipes I’ve tried irritate and pull skin too much, which causes wrinkles. Oil-based makeup removers are better because they remove makeup much more easily, so it does less harm to the skin. I recommend Lumene’s Lift Touch Rejuvenating Cleansing Oil. It’s an oil-based cleanser that removes makeup and cleans your face without drying out your skin or causing wrinkles.
  • Fight dryness (especially in the winter): I recommend oil-based cleansers not only because they remove makeup easily, but also because they fight dryness. The winter months are very dry and harsh on the skin, so always use a product that doesn’t strip moisture from your skin. After cleansing your face, always remember to use a moisturizer to stay hydrated. My Dew-Maker product is the perfect finishing touch to your skin care routine.

What makeup removers do you usually use? And for people that have tried Lumene’s Lift Touch Rejuvenating Cleansing Oil, what do you think?
